About us

INTRODUCTION

Welcome video from Homeworx co-founder and owner, Gordon Sanson.

Our story

Homeworx was co-founded by current managing director, Gordon Sanson, in 1998 with a vision of making new home building easier for people by combining several related services in the one location. The concept proved popular and Homeworx was soon recognised as one of Hawkes Bay’s leading building companies.

Homeworx has now built over 340 homes and continues to grow from strength to strength, receiving accolades from clients and industry peers. Most notable recognition of the consistently high quality of workmanship is the wall full of certificates in the reception area of Homeworx’s Meeanee offices.

But look beyond the 101 Registered Master Builders’ House of the Year Awards and you’ll get a greater understanding of why this company stands head and shoulders above the rest.

Quality is absolutely ingrained into the culture of Homeworx. Achieving a high quality standard matters to every member of this company. It’s a personal issue, achieving the standard and doing the right thing is a matter of pride.

Look even further and you’ll see that this sense of pride extends beyond the boundaries of the properties where homes are being built. Homeworx’s goal is not just to build a home but to also enhance the neighbourhood and do the right thing by the community. That is why you see Homeworx so actively involved in the community, from sports sponsorships to fundraising, or sometimes simply just helping out.

TESTIMONIALS

"Second build with Homeworx in 5 years. Gordon listened to my requirements and achieved exactly what I wanted. Great team and good sub trades. Highly recommended."

Vea Morrall

"Homeworx helped us design our home on an awkward section and we are so happy with it. We couldn't have found a builder more obliging and the standard of their workmanship is superb. Problems with subcontractors like the flooring people were sorted in a flash. There was no problem changing design features at the last minute.
We can't speak highly enough of the complete service from them.
Thank you for a lovely home."

Christina Hansen

"From before we even found our section till move in day, Gordon and his team helped us through the building process the whole way. I loved that we could have as much or as little input as we wanted, and being able to change the design until it was perfect. Having the opportunity to do a few basic things throughout the build made us even more proud of our new home. The use of clever design ticked every box for our wish list, using every square meter practically, and making our house feel spacious on a relatively small footprint."
